Dr. Samuel K. Owusu-Manu: Board Chairman
He is an accomplished Ghanaian Economist and a Financial Analyst with over 25 years of experience across various industries including oil and gas, banking, and insurance. He has strong analytical, business, and management skills as evidenced by his career progression into senior leadership roles.
Education and Qualifications:
Dr. Owusu-Manu holds a Ph.D. in Finance from De Montfort University (2019-2023), an MBA in Petroleum Economics and Finance with Distinction from Coventry University (2018-2019), an MA in Ports and Shipping Administration from the University of Ghana (2012), an MBA in Finance from the University of Ghana (2003), and a Bachelors in Economics/Statistics from the University of Ghana (1993).
Career Experience:
Dr. Owusu-Manu started his career as a Management Trainee at Ghana Commercial Bank in 1995. Over 15 years, he took on roles with increasing responsibility in credit management, and corporate banking, and ultimately headed the Oil and Gas sector for the bank from 2001-2010. Since 2010, he has served as the Chief Executive Officer of Ready Oil Ltd, overseeing strategy, operations, and business development.
He also has held board positions with various companies including Donewell Life Insurance and Pinnacle Equity Investments.

Mr. Kofi Duffuor: – Member
Mr. Kofi Duffuor is the Group Chief Executive Officer of Star Assurance Group Limited. Before this, he was the Chief Executive Officer of Star Assurance Company Limited. With hard work and dedication, Kofi and his executive team moved Star Assurance from almost the bottom of the league of insurance companies to become the third largest non-life insurance company in Ghana. Star Assurance has also won the prestigious Chartered Institute of Marketing Ghana (CIMG) Insurance Company of the Year award twice under his leadership. Mr. Duffuor in March 2011, was unanimously appointed by the West African Insurance Companies Association (WAICA) to chair the Board of the newly established WAICA Reinsurance Corporation PLC, a multinational reinsurance company, headquartered in Freetown, Sierra Leone, which currently has a balance sheet size of almost US$100 million as a result of his business acumen and great leadership skills, a position he still occupies. He was once an executive member of the Ghana Insurers Association and also chairman of the Association’s Finance and Secretariat’s Board Committee. Kofi was adjudged the Best CEO of the Year 2018 – General Insurance Category by the CEOS Network Ghana. He is also a recipient of Ghana Business Leaders Excellence GOLD Award. Kofi holds a Master of Business Administration degree in Entrepreneurial Management from the University of Ghana. Kofi had his insurance training in the United Kingdom. He is a Chartered Insurer and Fellow of the prestigious Chartered Insurance Institute (FCII) – UK. He is also a Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Ghana (FCIIG). He is well oriented in insurance management, business development, and marketing. He has over twenty-eight (28) years’ experience in insurance underwriting, claims management, and insurance marketing. He has attended several conferences and seminars both at home and abroad in insurance management and financial management.
Mr. Kwame Gyan: Member
He holds qualifications in LLM from Temple University in USA and BA(Law) from University of Ghana, Legon.
He is currently a Senior Lecturer at the University of Ghana, Faculty of Law and a consultant to the Ministry of Lands and Forestry.
Mr. Gyan is well respected in the legal fraternity and he brings his rich experiences to bear in the strategic decision of company especially in business and company law. He is the owner and chairman of Atiwa Quarries Limited, Ibistek Limited and Buntaa Farms limited.
He is a board member of the following companies: JA Plant Pool, Zoomlion Limited, Real Impact Energy Limit, Ibistek Limited just to mention a few.

Mr. Seth Asante: – Member
He holds an MBA in Marketing Option from the University of Ghana; a Barrister of Law from Ghana School of Law; a Post-Graduate Diploma in Public Admin from the Institute of International D’ Administration Publique (IIAP), Paris France; and a B.SC of Administration in Management from the University of Ghana.
He is the immediate past Director of Real Estate and Security Department of Volta River Authority. Before arriving on this position, he was the General Manager of Akosombo Hotels Limited and Manager of Human Resource Department.
He was a coordinator, Regional Programme for African Trade Unions and a Director of the FOPADESC Training Centre in 1999 and 1994 respectively. He is a member of Ghana Bar Association and has publications on the Democratic Process and the Trade Unions in Africa (WSM/ODSTA, Brussels) and Socio-economic initiative of Social Organisations, and Structural Adjustment Programme.
